I had the pleasure this Saturday of photographing the wedding of Sophie and Robert at the beautiful location of St Mary’s Church and Goldsborough Hall. One of my favourite wedding venues is the picturesque Goldsborough Hall and was the ideal wedding location for Sophie & Robert.

Sophie and Robert first met at Ampleforth College where they were both students, and you may recall they chose Ampleforth as the location for their pre-wedding photoshoot. I have worked at Ampleforth on may occasions. Being set in a stunning valley and due to the couple’s history with Ampleforth it was a fitting location for their pre-shoot.

Sophie and Robert are a very well suited and lovely couple. Everything about their wedding day was well planned, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. From the church ceremony which Robert’s grandfather conducted, to the lovely weather, which was out of their control, the day flowed perfectly.

It was nice to see Deborah from Love Hair and Beauty in Ripon, whom I have worked with on many occasions, and who did all the hair and make-up for the bridal party. It was also nice to know the stunning wedding cake was supplied by the awesome Blossom Tree Cake Company. The floral bouquets and table decorations were created by Beamsley Blooms of Skipton which, as you will see from the photographs, were truly lovely. The Event Music Company provided the evening entertainment with their Little Big Band.

I wish Sophie and Robert all the best for their married lives together. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph their day for them and to get to know them. Here is a selection of highlights from their wedding day for you to enjoy.
