What a fantastic day for the marriage of Megan and James with their wedding ceremony at St Stephen’s Church in Acomb and wedding reception at Gray’s Court. It was one of those weeks of checking the weather forecast and still being unsure as to what the day was going to be like. The day before the weather looked grim and the morning of the wedding lived up to the forecast with very wet weather. However by the time Megan travelled to the church, the rain had stopped, the sun came out, and pretty much all afternoon was spent basking in sunshine, just like it had been ordered.

I felt so pleased for Megan and James that they had great weather, and everyone made the most of it spending the time during the reception outside. Megan and James had the opportunity to have some time to themselves taking a slow stroll in Minster Gardens where I had the opportunity to capture some lovely natural photographs of the two of them spending time together, taking it all in. A wedding day passes so quickly that having that time to spend some time together allows a couple the opportunity to really take in the day.

Megan and James are a lovely couple. I photographed them during their pre-wedding photoshoot at Castle Howard a few months ago, where I got to know them a little better, and I can truly say they are meant for each other. They are so natural and relaxed in each others company, and not only were they able to make the most of the pre-wedding photoshoot, they were completely relaxed at being photographed by a York Wedding Photographer on their wedding day.

They are currently in Italy on their honeymoon and I can imagine they are having an absolutely fabulous time. I look forward to hearing about it when they return. In the meantime here is a selection of photographs from their wedding day for you to enjoy.
