I had a fabulous day today photographing the pre-wedding photoshoot of Claudia and Piers, a couple whose wedding is in July at the beautiful Newburgh Priory. Castle Howard was the amazing location for their shoot today, a location I always enjoy working at. The grounds are so picturesque with a variety of locations for some idyllic and romantic photography, and I could spend all day exploring the grounds.

Claudia and Piers were very relaxed today. It is not always the case when I meet a couple for their pre-shoot as some couples are very nervous and apprehensive about being the focus of attention. The experience usually helps a couple relax and get used to being photographed so that when their big day arrives it is one less thing to worry about. I can also give advice on what looks natural so that on their wedding day they can fully enjoy the day as they have planned rather than being made to feel like it is a photoshoot. After all a wedding day is just that, a wedding, and not a photoshoot to be dominated by a photographer.

It was great to spend some time with them and to get to know them both better. I very much look forward to their wedding in July and in the meantime then here is a selection of highlights from their photoshoot for you to enjoy.
