What an absolutely fantastic weekend I had photographing the birthday of Claire at Wentworth Woodhouse. Working alongside Craig Squelch and Dine Services who organised a stunning party for Claire, and AV Matrix who did absolute wonders to light up both the exterior and interior of Wentworth Woodhouse, it was an fabulous party. The highlights other than the stunning venue were the evening entertainment in the form of the iconic Deacon Blue followed by the DJ skills of Vernon Kay. The atmosphere was amazing and to be up close to photograph the whole event was a truly wonderful experience. Deacon Blue played a full range of songs from their 25 year long career including ‘Dignity’, ‘I’ll Never Fall in Love Again’, and ‘Real Gone Kid’. They had everyone on the dance floor and with over an hour of constant playing they certainly put on an amazing show.
Vernon Kay followed with his DJ skills who again had everyone on the dance floor. He really is a talented DJ keeping everyone entertained. The tunes flowed one into the other with amazing precision, with tunes that kept people dancing. The atmosphere was fantastic. So much so that he was on for over half an hour longer than he was meant to be.
It was one of the most impressive events I have photographed and it was great to be a part of it. Needless to say I did not get home to 3am, but I captured some amazing photographs. Some highlights from the evening can be seen in the gallery below.
