The second wedding this weekend was at another one of my favourite venues, namely Goldsborough Hall for the wedding of Carrie & Ross. You may recall their pre-wedding photoshoot a few weeks ago at Valley Gardens in Harrogate. A much improved weather story today with beautiful sunshine, with a little cloud cover at times, and a slight threat of a downpour. Luckily it remained dry throughout the day, and was even warm meaning that a lot of the wedding reception was held outside. With Goldsborough Hall’s stunning gardens and grounds, it is a fabulous setting to be able to have some time outside. Carrie & Ross married at St Mary’s Church at Goldsborough with their wedding reception at Goldborough Hall. With Ross being from Glasgow they organised for bag pipes to be played when the came out of the church and for the piper to lead the procession of guests from the church to the hall.
The light seemed simply beautiful today. Whenever we were outside the sunlight created a very subtle soft glow for the most part and especially into the evening. We therefore made the most of it whilst we could to make the most of the gardens and grounds to capture a whole variety of natural and informal photographs of Carrie & Ross, using the light to get the most out of the photography. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph their wedding day, and thoroughly enjoyable to be back at Goldsborough Hall. This is definitely a venue I would highly recommend to be at the top of the list for any couple looking for a beautiful and elegant wedding venue.
Some information to help in the planning of your wedding day:
Simon Wilkinson was the wedding coordinator at Goldsborough Hall. A position he has held for about four months now and I wish him a long and successful career at Goldsborough Hall. The lovely vintage wedding car was supplied by K Snowdon Wedding Cars. Carrie’s bridal gown was supplied by Brides of Harrogate. Sarah Small created the beautiful wedding cake. Mark Granger from Elite Mobile Disco was the DJ of choice for the evening reception music. And Ed Arnlod was the bag piper from ‘hireabagpiper.co.uk‘.
