Wood Hall was the venue of choice for the wedding of Rebecca & Richard, and what a lovely place for a wedding. It is several years since I last photographed a wedding at Wood Hall, but it is simply stunning, especially at this time of year. Who would have thought that when the nights draw in and the weather seems so drab and murky with the roads so muddy that we could get outdoors and take such fabulous photographs with stunning colours for a backdrop from the autumnal leaves. It was so inspiring. So much so that when I took some photographs of the couple on their own, we walked quite some distance to ensure we made the best of it, and it was certainly worth it.
Take a look at the photographs below of the couple outside with the autumnal foliage. See how you can use the hedge to lead your eye into the main subject of the photograph, and the tree branches framing the couple, being well composed with the couple not completely in the centre of the frame. Having an interest in fine art photography, and using my skills and knowledge of landscape fine art work, you can see how I have created my own unique style as a wedding photographer in Yorkshire.
Rebecca & Richard are a great couple. It was an absolute pleasure to spend their day with them and their family and friends. You may recall we had previously had a pre-wedding photoshoot at Newby Hall a few weeks ago on a particularly wet day, so it was great to see that the weather was much more pleasant for their wedding day. Having had that time with them during the pre-shoot, they were far more relaxed on their wedding day about the photographs, and were more than accommodating to ensure I captured everything they wanted.
Some information if you are planning a wedding is that the Florist was Bloemist, the cake maker was Fanticy Ltd of Skipton, the string quartet was organised by Chris Hilton of The Event Music Company, and Rebecca wore a stunning elegant Ava Rose Hamilton dress.
Rebecca & Richard are on honeymoon and I very much look forward to seeing them on their return. In the meantime here is a selection of photographs from their wedding day for you to enjoy.
