Saturday I was once again back at Carlton Towers for the wonderful wedding of Amy & Matthew, and what a beautiful day for them. Considering we had a flurry of snow overnight, it was great to have a lovely sunny day for the most part, albeit cold. We were therefore able to take the formal photographs outside as well as make use of the gardens for some lovely intimate photographs of Amy & Matthew. I have to say it was an incredibly well organised and relaxed day, and with a 2½ hour drinks reception, there was absolutely no rush in capturing guests enjoying the drinks reception, organising the formal photographs and taking photographs of the couple.
Carlton Towers is a very picturesque venue. It is not often that I work at Carlton Towers but it is thoroughly enjoyable when I do, and I would highly recommend it for couples looking for a wedding venue.
Some information to help in the planning of your wedding day is that Geraldine Hunt from Hessle created the stunning floral bouquets, Chris Turnbull (mother of the groom) created the stunning cake, James Michelsberg from Michelsberg Tailoring in Leeds was the tailor of choice for Matthew’s suit, Amy’s bridal dress was supplied by Andrea Bainbridge of York, and the Aluinn Ceilidh Band supplied the evening entertainment.
Amy & Matthew are having a few days away and I wish them a lovely time. I the meantime here is a selection of highlights from their wedding for you to enjoy.
