The second wedding this weekend was the marriage of Lesley & Andrew at Crathorne Hall in Yarm. It was in fact my birthday, and it was a really nice way to spend my birthday, doing something that I really love and enjoy.
Although Crathorne Hall is only 35 minutes drive from where I live, I rarely get any enquiries for weddings taking place at Crathorne Hall, even though they hold around 120 weddings a year. It seems to be something to do with the boundary of North Yorkshire to County Durham & Teeside. I rarely receive enquiries from people getting married in the Durham, Darlington, Teeside area, yet regularly travel south and west to photograph weddings. It is a shame really as Crathorne Hall is a stunning venue. Ideal for weddings, extremely well presented and very photogenic.
I got on extremely well with Lesley and Andrew, who are a great couple, and it was a pleasure to photograph their wedding. They organised a small intimate wedding with close family and friends and again the weather was superb, so the drinks reception was spent outside on the sun terrace. They could not have asked for more from the weather.
If you are planning a wedding then some information which might help from this wedding are that Lesley’s stunning wedding dress was supplied by Samantha at Broughton Bridals in Leeds. Hair & Make-up was by Bonnie at Bonita B in Harrogate. The lovely flowers were by Helen at Diana Kaye Florist in Yarm. The cake by Judy at Sugarnspice Cakes in Hull. The string quartet was Musica Viva Quartet from Boroughbridge. Finally the DJ was organised by Graham at Audio Events Ltd of Harrogate.
Here is a selection of photographs taken from Lesley & Andrew’s wedding day for you to enjoy.
