A busy weekend this weekend saw me photographing three weddings, the first of which on Friday for the marriage of Helen & Michael at the stunning Allerton Castle. A military wedding saw superb military dress uniform with a sword guard of honour. Along with Helen wearing a lovely wedding dress supplied by Pronuptia, made for a very photogenic wedding day.
Helen & Michael are a really lovely couple. It was unfortunate that the weather was so cold to get any photographs of the two of them in the grounds of Allerton Castle, but we made use of the drawing room for some lovely intimate photographs. Allerton Castle is known for its stunning architecture, and the fixtures and fittings are very elaborate which provide a very unique and beautiful setting for a wedding. The log fire in the main hall adds to the romantic atmosphere. It therefore does not matter if the weather is poor as there are so many opportunities for great photographs indoors. With the grand staircase for the bride to arrive down, and the ballroom with magnificent plaster ceiling, Allerton Castle is one of the top wedding venues in the country.
A little information to help you in the planning of your wedding is that the flowers were created and supplied by Jill Springall. Jill is renowned for her high quality floral arrangements, and regularly works at Allerton Castle for wedding clients. The three piece music ensemble, and the evening band, were organised by Chris at The Event Music Company. Chris and his team can provide most forms of entertainment for a wedding day, and again regularly work at Allerton Castle.
As usual here is a selection of photographs from the day. Being bonfire night of course saw fireworks to end the evening in spectacular fashion.
