Most will say quality and a personal service. Yet their website and promotional material will use stock generic photographs that does not give that impression. Stock photographs do not differentiate a company from their competitors. There are times when stock photographs will put people off contacting you as it shows a faceless business.
Photography is more than pretty pictures, it should generate a feeling and get across a message. People feel more comfortable contacting you if they can picture who they will be talking to. They are more likely to take that next step to pick up the phone and speak with as a good photograph will give them a welcoming feeling.
Some ‘About Us’ pages do not actually give any specific information about the people who work there and who you will be dealing with, hence not giving an impression of a personal service that your business strives to offer.
Rather than a straight forward head and shoulders photograph, why not have something more contemporary that relates to the work each person does.
Why not try ‘Black and White’ photographs to create a timeless style. This can help if the colour in the photographs does not complement the other photographs, or if you specifically want to convey your corporate colours and brand.
