I had the very great pleasure in photographing the wedding of Ulyana and Daniel yesterday at the absolutely amazing venue of Allerton Castle. One of my favourite locations for a wedding, and one of the first venues I ever photographed a wedding at. Allerton Castle has been lovingly restored over the past few years by Dr Rolph and his team, and it is to the highest of standards. It is therefore no wonder that this venue attracts some of the loveliest weddings, and Ulyana and Daniel’s was no exception.

Ulyana and Daniel are a lovely couple who I had the pleasure of photographing for their pre-wedding photoshoot at Bolton Abbey back in March. On that day it was overcast and damp, which if we had taken any notice of the weather forecast would have been the same yesterday. Amazingly, the weather could not have been better when we needed it to be, only turning wet in the evening.

With Ulyana’s family being from Russia, there was a Russian element to the wedding with quite a number of speeches by friends and family. It was really lovely to experience some of the Russian traditions, and one of the best speeches was given by Ulyana’s younger brother who gave a very moving and heartfelt speech. Vodka also featured as part of the wedding day, though all in good taste.

Ulyana and Daniel have planned a trip to Bali for their honeymoon which sounds absolutely amazing.

I wish them a great time and look forward to hearing about it. In the meantime here is a selection of photographs from their wedding day.
