I had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Rofelyn & Jonathan yesterday whose ceremony took place at St John the Baptist Church, Knaresborough, and reception at the stunning Goldsborough Hall. The is the first time I have seen the new Orangery and I have to say it is a lovely addition to Goldsborough Hall, a fabulous space and very tastefully designed. It is always a great pleasure to photograph a wedding at Goldsborough Hall. Each wedding is regarded as a special event and not simply another wedding as it sometimes appears at some other wedding venues. I am impressed with the way Claire & Mark are constantly working to add more to what the hall has to offer.
Rofelyn & Jonathan are a lovely couple and a joy to photograph. Due to work pressures their pre-wedding photoshoot took place quite late taking place last week at Valley Gardens. It is amazing how quickly time has gone since their pre-wedding photoshoot as it does not seem a week since. It was however great to see them last week and they were both very relaxed with the photography yesterday as a result. As an exclusive wedding photographer I was able to therefore capture some very natural photographs.
I have to mention the weather. The forecast earlier in the week was for a rather wet afternoon. The reality was a reasonable day which meant the couple and their guests could fully enjoy all that Goldborough has to offer. The gardens look stunning, and with the onset of Autumn, the change in the colour in the leaves adds to the lovely colour captured in the photographs. We could see there was a possibility of rain towards the end of the couples drinks reception and within 10 minutes of the wedding party being called in for their wedding breakfast the heavens opened. The couple were so fortunate and could not have timed in better.
Some of the suppliers they used to make their day special were Joanna from Twisted Willow who created the stunning bouquets and floral decorations, Chris at Superior Motor Cars supplied the very classy Rolls Royce, Kean at the Blossom Tree Cake Company created the elegant and stylish cake, and James from Digi-Scope was their chosen videographer and whom I have previously worked with at Goldsborough Hall. It was great to work with him again.
Rofelyn & Jonathan are to have their honeymoon touring Italy and I wish them a fabulous time. In the meantime here is a selection of highlights from their wedding day for you to enjoy.
