This weekend saw me photograph at a new venue to me, namely Ettington Park Hotel near Stratford-upon-Avon. A stunning location for a wedding and an idyllic wedding day for Fozia & Robert, who planned to wed in the bell tower ruins, but due to the weather the ceremony was moved initially to the library, and through good fortune a last minute decision was made for the ceremony to be held in the orangery. Considering the weather conditions on the morning of the wedding it looked highly unlikely that any opportunity would be made to make use of the grounds and any external space, but an hour before the wedding ceremony was due to take place the sun came out and for the most part remained a lovely day, apart from the occasional sharp April shower. I was pleased for Fozia & Robert that this was the case as they had planned for and hoped the weather would be kind to them as the grounds at Ettington Park are very picturesque with the River Stour running meandering by the hotel.
With select family and friends in attendance this was a lovely intimate wedding and a pleasure to photograph. Following their pre-wedding photoshoot a couple of weeks ago at Fountains Abbey, both Fozia & Robert were very relaxed on their wedding day. There was little apprehension in the morning preparations with everyone enjoying themselves and looking forward to the day ahead. The result was a well organised and lovely wedding day which was a pleasure to photograph.
Fozia has been taken away for a secretly planned honeymoon by Robert and I wish them a lovely time. I look forward to speaking with them when they return and to creating their album design. In the meantime here are some highlights from their wedding day for you to enjoy.
