What a fantastic day and beautiful rural location for the wedding of Amy & James at Dockray, just North of Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. They could not have asked for a better day for early April. Lake Ullswater was like a millpond, extremely calm with little wind. The church was a very quaint traditional church within walking distance of Dockray and an ideal location for my style of wedding photography as I very much enjoy rural weddings. James is the brother of Laura whose wedding I photographed almost three years ago when she married Graham at Laura’s home church in Copmanthorpe before going on to Harewood House for a marquee reception. It was great to see Laura & Graham again and to be a part of the wedding of Amy & James.
You may recall Amy & James had their pre-wedding photoshoot at Brimham Rocks a few weeks ago on a very misty and damp Saturday morning. We had an enjoyable time, with some interesting and atmospheric photographs taken as a result.
Amy & James are currently on honeymoon and I look forward to hearing from them when they return. In the meantime here is a selection of photographs from their wedding day for you to enjoy.
