What a lovely sunny winter’s day for the wedding of Kay & Richard in the beautiful market town of Helmsley. Who would have believed after having been a wet and drizzly day on Thursday, that Friday would turn out to be clear blue skies and relatively mild for the time of year. Kay & Richard married at the Church of All Saints in the heart of Helmsley before moving on to The Black Swan overlooking the market place. They are situated next door to each other so it made things relatively easy with guests not having to travel far between the two locations.
Kay & Richard are a lovely couple. Both were very relaxed prior to the wedding ceremony and were great to photograph. They have some great friends and family and they had a thoroughly enjoyable day. With the lovely mild weather we managed to take most of the formal group photographs outside, and Kay & Richard had a little time out to have some time together where I stayed in the background for the most part and captured some lovely intimate photographs of the two of them.
They are currently having a few days away in Venice and I wish them a wonderful time. In the meantime here is a selection of highlights from their wedding day and I look forward to catching up with them when they return.
