What better way to spend Christmas Eve than by photographing a very intimate wedding with a lovely couple and their guests at Aldwark Manor Hotel. It was one of the most relaxed weddings I have photographed, and the couple were such a joy to work with and photograph. With a total wedding party of 9, and with everything being held at Aldwark Manor with no travelling involved, it was a very relaxed and stress free day, and the weather was very kind to them also. We were therefore able to take some photographs of Trudy & Stuart outside, though with the time of year it was particularly cold and the light began to fade rather quickly, though this made for some lovely photographs of the two of them. There was also a Christmassy feel to Aldwark Manor with a Christmas tree in the entrance way, and Christmas decorations adorning the fireplaces, which were all lit to make for a very cosy evening for their wedding breakfast.
Despite Aldwark being only 10 minutes from where I live, and with them hosting weddings throughout the year, I rarely photograph at Aldwark which is a shame as it is a lovely venue for a wedding. They have some great facilities including golf course, spa, swimming pool and gym. With accommodation for guests and being located in a rural setting, it really is a lovely wedding venue, and one I enjoy working at.
Trudy & Stuart are enjoying a few days away in Budapest for their honeymoon over the New Year period, I wish them a wonderful time and a great New Year. I very much look forward to catching up with them when they return and creating their wedding album. Here is a selection of highlights from their wedding day for you to enjoy.
