What another fantastic day for the wedding of Eleanor & Shahin at the stunning setting of Goldsborough Hall. Always an enjoyable venue to work at with exclusive use for the wedding party, Goldsborough Hall has been recently restored and is continuing to be improved by Mark and Claire through their continuing commitment to offer a very personal and top quality service for the discerning client. It goes hand in hand with the service I offer my clients and as a result I thoroughly enjoy working at Goldsborough. Eleanor & Shahin had a church service in York with their reception at Goldsborough Hall. I met them for their pre-wedding photoshoot a couple of month ago in Museum Gardens and got to know them a little better so that on their wedding day we knew each other and they were comfortable having their photograph taken.
At this time of year the daylight is against us in order to take photographs outdoors. With it getting dark at 3:45pm, there is limited time for both photographs of the couple and also for any formal group photographs required. Often one or both have to be arranged indoors, though natural light in my opinion, is much better than artificial light. On this occasion with it being a lovely clear day the light was stunning for the photographs of the couple as we headed into the woodland at Goldsborough to benefit from the gorgeous sunset. The result was a lovely warm light that came through in the photographs, and despite losing the light somewhat during the formal group line-ups, we managed to get through all the photographs Eleanor & Shahin wanted as well as a large group photograph of all their guests.
I wish Eleanor & Shahin a wonderful Christmas and look forward to hearing from them in due course regarding the photographs they would like for their wedding album. In the meantime here is a selection of highlights from their wedding day.
