In the week run up to Christmas it was lovely to photograph the wedding of Louise & Alex on a crisp clear winter’s day at the stunning Allerton Castle. Despite being cold they could not have asked for a better day. My day started in a very calm house with Louise and her bridesmaids in Chapel Allerton before travelling to York to the lovely church located on Marygate, St Olave’s Church for the wedding ceremony, before then moving on to the wedding reception at Allerton Castle. Considering the time of year, they were extremely fortunate to have lovely weather. The day before had been wet and cold, so to find a sunny day was really unexpected, especially for it to remain sunny all day. I was really pleased for Louise & Alex to have been blessed with such a day. They are a great couple and they had a great time. Having photographed them a few weeks ago during the pre-wedding photoshoot at Museum Gardens, it has been lovely to get to know them. They are obviously well respected and liked and it was a pleasure to be a part of their day. Alex surprised Louise during the speeches with a honeymoon trip to Antigua arranging time off for her from work. I wish them a fantastic time and I look forward to hearing from them when they return regarding their album image choices. In the meantime here is a selection of photographs from their wedding day for you to enjoy.
