The Hospitium Wedding – Katherine & Andrew
by admin on Nov.23, 2009, under Wedding
Today I was once again back at The Hospitium to photograph the wedding of Katherine & Andrew. Katherine & Andrew live in Sydney but are from the UK which is where their friends and family live, so it was only fitting for them to get married in the beautiful city of York. The weather made for an interesting day as it was unfortunately dull and damp all day, though better than forecast. So despite the weather we did manage to make use of Museum Gardens before it got too dark.
Katherine & Andrew have some great friends and family and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day. I do love photographing at The Hospitium and around Museum Gardens. I am back there again in a few weeks for a December wedding.
I wish Katherine & Andrew a lovely time on honeymoon and I believe they are back in the UK in April so look forward to catching up with them again soon. In the meantime have a look at a selection of photographs from their wedding day.

The Hospitium & Museum Gardens Pre-Wedding Photoshoot – Lucy & Chris
by admin on Nov.16, 2009, under Pre-wedding
Late this afternoon saw me at The Hospitium to meet with Lucy & Chris for a pre-wedding photoshoot, whose wedding I am photographing in December. It was one of those days where the weather could have completely ruined the day as the rain in the morning was exceptionally heavy. However by the afternoon it had cleared and was relatively pleasant.
Lucy & Chris are a really lovely couple and despite Chris in particular being a little apprehensive at first about the photoshoot, they both soon settled into it. A mixture of very natural candid shots with some formal posed photographs set against the backdrop of the ruins, and autumnal colours in the trees created some really interesting and beautiful photographs. A selection of the photographs can be seen below.
It was great to see them both again and I am really looking forward to photographing their wedding in December. Lets hope the weather then is as good as it was this afternoon.
