Midland Hotel Wedding – Sally & Tim
by admin on Sep.27, 2009, under Wedding
Yesterday saw me in Manchester for the wedding of Sally & Tim, and what a day. Sal & Tim are great and we had a fabulous day. Their ceremony was at St Mary’s Church, otherwise known as Hidden Gem in Manchester. A beautiful ornate church inside, right in the centre of Manchester, but hidden away. I believe not many weddings are held in the church so it is a privilige to be able to be part of a wedding and photograph a wedding in the church. Sal & Tim’s reception was then at the Midland Hotel, again in the centre of Manchester. Once again a beautiful imposing Victorian building ideal for some different and innovative photography.
The weather was great so the whole wedding party walked from the church to the hotel through the centre of Manchester. We selected an ideal location for group photographs in a quiet but well developed area near to the hotel, and for a city centre location it was ideal. I captured some great photographs and I am looking forward to being in touch with Sal and Tim when they return from their honeymoon, to design an album for them. In the meantime here are a select few photographs from their wedding day.

Middlethorpe Hall Wedding – Emma & Adrian
by admin on Sep.20, 2009, under Wedding
The second wedding this weekend saw the marriage of Emma and Adrian at the beautiful Middlethorpe Hall. A National Trust owned luxury hotel located in York, it is the perfect setting for a wedding, especially small intimate weddings such as Emma & Adrian’s. It was a very civilised day with afternoon tea served to guests on arrival. Having worked at Middlethorpe Hall before they specialise in a formal traditional approach to weddings catering very well for close intimate weddings, and today was no exception. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and the photographs have captured that well. Here is a selection of the photographs taken.

Manchester Pre-Wedding Photoshoot – Sally & Tim
by admin on Sep.15, 2009, under Pre-wedding
Today saw me in the centre of Manchester for a pre-wedding photoshoot with Sally & Tim. Sal & Tim get married next week at St Mary’s Hidden Gem Church, with their reception at the Midland Hotel, and today gave me the opportunity to have a good look around the area and at both venues. Both look spectacular with the church living up to its name, especially the interior decor. The Midland Hotel, being a Victorian station hotel, also has fantastic architecture, with lobby and function rooms to impress. Sal & Tim are a great couple and we spent a good couple of hours exploring the area and undertaking a photoshoot to allow them to get used to the camera, so that on their wedding day they can relax as they are used to how I work. A pre-wedding photoshoot really helps us to get to know one another so that the couple are relaxed in my company on their wedding day.
I very much look forward to photographing their wedding and here is a selection of the photographs taken today.

Oakwood Hall Wedding – Kate & Pierren
by admin on Sep.12, 2009, under Wedding
This weekend I was in Bingley for the wedding of Kate & Pierren at All Saints Church, then on to Oakwood Hall. A venue I have never worked at before, is a lovely manor house style venue with beautiful oak panel decor. I began my day spending some time on the golf course with Pierren which was great, especially with the weather being so good. Then on to Oakwood Hall to meet Kate as she was getting ready. The whole day was really interesting as Pierren’s mother conducted the wedding ceremony, and following the ceremony we went to the canal where Kate’s parents had a canal boat moored. Following that we visited a select few locations on the moors where Kate and Pierren like to visit so I captured some great landscape photographs.
I wish Kate & Pierren a great honeymoon which they are planning for later in the year. Here are some photographs of their day.

Allerton Castle Wedding – Sally & Gary
by admin on Sep.05, 2009, under Wedding
Having recently returned from Sally & Gary’s wedding at Allerton Castle, I could not wait to see the photographs I have taken, as it was a brilliant day. Once again Allerton Castle hosted a very impressive wedding, and Sally and Gary are a great couple. Sally and Gary had a civil ceremony followed by a wedding blessing which was indeed very special and memorable. The weather although looked bleak, was in fact very mild and turned out quite nice for the drinks reception so all the formal photographs for the most part were outside. Sally and Gary also managed to spend some time on their own looking around the grounds where I was able to capture some lovely intimate photographs of them both.
I wish them a great time on their honeymoon in Thailand and look forward to seeing them when they return, to sort out the images for their album. Below is a selection of photographs taken today.
